Think of a student with a disability you have now or in the past. describe ways in which their disability affected their learning in your class. I had a student with autism and short term memory loss. She did a great job on her projects, but she had difficulties remembering vocabulary words and due dates. She would struggle with her writing tests. So, I always gave her more time, and she could choose the day to take the test. That helped a lot and she passed every time. I also helped her with due dates. |

Using Task Card or Cubing would be a great way to differentiate activities to meet students' needs. These strategies can help with students' focus and give students more autonomy in their learning. Graphic organizers are great ways to help students visualize and organize ideas/concepts. This strategy helps students with different learning styles, and helps students process and connect new content. |

I give students extra time for any assignments and assessments. I give preferential seating. Accepting verbal answers instead of written answers. Check list of what needs to be accomplished. I adapt projects to students' abilities. Everything is posted online for students' reference. |
