I've had a student in my band program who is visually impaired. We scanned all his music and uploaded it to an IPad where he can enlarge it. I also enlarged some of his music instead of putting it on the Ipad. However the IPad made it brighter and easier for him to see. He was also a trombone player and he listened for the pitches more than reading. |

I've used an Ipad to help a visually impaired student see their music better by enlarging it. I have also used SmartMusic so the students can hear their song and record as well as Flip Grid. I use Tiered Lessons often as well as technology. |

When teaching band I use both Meditated Scaffolding and Small Group Lessons. Lots of times I mimic what I want or even when I have a student playing the way I want others to play I use them as an example. This is where small groups work best when I break them up into sectionals. I have also Used technology in the form of an IPad for a visual impaired student to Chromebooks with SmartMusic to help students hear what they are supposed to be playing |

My assessments are mostly performance based so now that I am teaching both synchronous and asynchronous I can have the students who need extra time use Flipgrid to record themselves and they have plenty of time to do it and this gives them extended time. This gives them extended time and also for those that are a little shy it gives them confidence because they don't have to worry about what others think of their playing |
