I have an Access Points 2D Studio art class mixed with Fine Crafts class. So there is variety of exceptionalities- ASD, IND, OI, SLD. I have made my own weaving tool for my students with 2x4 and dowel rod and made a version of weaving loom for them. This helped simplified the idea of knitting/ crocheting, created more space for varied leveled dexterity, and it's very repetitive but simple. Students were able to use the loom with some or no helped once demonstrated and assisted. Having a parafessional in the class helped me with students as well to supervise their progress with the loom as well. Positive feedback for the students and them seeing the progress on the loom was very encouraging for them.

Having a Google Classroom has helped organized information for my students. I am able to upload videos of demonstration and instruction for them. In the videos I am able to break down the step by step process of the exercise or project. I also upload my PowerPoint as reference to the assignment. These variety of ways to present information to students would help those who learn differently and process. Also utilizing google meet with my remote students that are 504, they are able to interact and clarify instructions.

1. Provide/Describe one or more examples of adapted or alternative assessments you have successfully used in the art classroom for students with disabilities. Be sure to identify the student's disability. Share your response in the threaded discussion.
Having Access Points Art class integrated into a regular art could be challenging at times. I had students that are Intellectual Disability, Emotional/Behavioral Disability, and Other Health Impaired. I would refer to CPALMS, see their accommodations, and collaborate to the ESE teacher to have a good understanding of the student to appropriately grade their work. I would do ongoing assessments throughout the project to check their understanding and see if physically they could do it and make revisions to the assignment if need be.
