i have a student who has physical impairment with his hands and his feet. this makes it very difficult for him to play instruments or to do dances. i try to find other ways he can demonstrate the knowledge by completing other tasks. |

option 1: i use scaffolding with my third grade classes on their recorders and with my kindergarten when learning a new song. i also use collaborative learning (groups) to demonstrate knowledge of concepts. such as notating rhythms. |

i have cut the number of questions for students. i have also graded on playing correct notes in a passage instead of concentrating on rhythm, would have them clap the rhythm or play rhythm on one pitch. so basically i broke the assessment up into two different parts. |
