I have a new kindergarten student this year with brain trauma and balance issues. I have already contacted & discussed her needs with her classroom teacher, OT and PT. I was concerned about her falling off the art stools and we currently have. We brought in different seating for her, (along with some classmates to sit at with her.) I have only seen her twice so far this year but she seems like a very sweet, capable little girl. |

I like the idea of the task cards for elementary art assignments. It would be a good way to differentiate the tasks by level and /or grade. You could add step by step visuals. It allows the students to go at their own pace and be independent, while floating around to help individuals. Graphic organizers are something I use in almost every assignment. They are useful for art vocabulary and I have used Venn diagrams for compare & contrasting artwork. |

We are going to learn about the color wheel and I have color paddles we use along with our graphic organizer color wheel chart. I just learned that one of my students is color blind. I will write the color name on his color paddles so he can identify the colors & proper color mixing. I have a new primary student with a brain injury with balance issues. I have already requested optional seating for her since my art stools are a hazard. |
