I had a MS student that was hearing impaired. He was a very smart and intellectual student but had difficult comprehending the instruction whenever he sat in his former location in the classroom. Speaking louder and moving him toward the front of the classroom helped tremendously. Often, I would stand in close proximity to him as I taught the classroom.

I have students in my class that has learning deficits. I use computer- assisted instruction to remediate on difficult concepts. I use a web-base program called Brainchild. This program has a study section where students can study then test within the program. The program provides immediate feedback to students and rationales to indicate why the answer choice is correct or incorrect. Students have used this piece of technology to increase their proficiency on the subject matter. |

Students with disabilities in the class are given a shorter assessments. All assessments cover Florida standards. Items in which students have to write the process of a particular concept, these students are able to draw and explain their drawings to receive credit. |
